Who we are.
Pound is made by Last Call Labs LLC, a small software company based in New Jersey. We make one app. This is its privacy policy.
You must be twenty-one.
Pound is intended for users who are 21 years of age or older. By using Pound, you confirm that you are at least 21.
What lives on your device.
The following information is stored locally on your iPhone and Apple Watch. It never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to share it.
Profile data
- First name
- Body weight
- Biological sex
- Unit preferences (oz/ml)
Event data
- Date and time of drinking events
- Drinks logged (type, serving size, ABV)
- Food status during the event
- Event duration
Morning-after data
- How you felt the next morning (emoji rating)
- Personal notes you choose to write to your future self
None of this data is transmitted to Last Call Labs or any third party. It exists only on your device and is deleted if you uninstall the app.
Anonymous analytics.
Pound uses PostHog to collect anonymous usage analytics. This helps us understand how people use the app so we can improve it.
What PostHog collects
- Which screens you visit
- Which features you use
- App crashes and errors
- Device type and iOS version
- General location (country/region only)
What PostHog does not collect
- Your name
- Your weight or biological sex
- Your drink logs or health data
- Your morning ratings or notes
- Any personally identifiable information
PostHog data is anonymous and cannot be linked back to you as an individual. Read more about their privacy practices at posthog.com/privacy.
Apple Health is optional.
If you choose to connect Pound with Apple Health, Pound may read your body weight and biological sex from HealthKit to pre-populate your profile. This is optional — you can enter this information manually instead.
Pound does not write any data to Apple Health in the current version. All HealthKit data access follows Apple's HealthKit guidelines and is used solely to provide the pacing feature. HealthKit data is never shared with third parties.
Apple Watch sync.
If you use the Pound Apple Watch app, your active event data syncs between your iPhone and Watch via Apple's WatchConnectivity framework. This sync happens locally between your devices — it does not pass through our servers.
What we don't do.
We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with advertisers. We do not share your personal health data with any third party.
The only third party that receives any data from Pound is PostHog, which receives anonymous usage analytics as described above.
Retention & deletion.
Your personal data lives on your device for as long as you use the app. If you delete Pound, all locally stored data is deleted with it. Anonymous PostHog analytics data is retained for 12 months.
Your rights
Since your personal data is stored only on your device, you have complete control over it at all times:
- Access — your data is viewable in the Pound app.
- Deletion — delete the app to delete all your data.
If you'd like to request deletion of your PostHog analytics record, write us at hello@lastcall-labs.com.
Children's privacy.
Pound is not intended for users under the age of 21. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 21. If you believe a minor has used Pound, please contact us at hello@lastcall-labs.com.
A small disclaimer.
Pound is a pacing guide, not a medical device. The BAC estimates provided by Pound are approximations based on the Widmark formula and are not a substitute for a breathalyzer or medical advice. Never drive if you feel impaired, regardless of what Pound indicates. Always err on the side of caution.
This website.
Everything above is about the Pound app. The site you're reading keeps things just as light. We use Vercel Web Analytics, which is cookieless and counts visits without tracking you across the web or building a profile of who you are.
If you hand us your email on the launch list, it's stored by Buttondown, our email provider. We use it for one thing — to tell you when Pound is out — and nothing else. No selling, no newsletters, no drip campaigns. There's an unsubscribe link in every email, and you can leave any time or write us at hello@lastcall-labs.com to be removed.
Changes to this policy.
If we make material changes to this privacy policy, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and notify users via an in-app notice.

We answer every email. Slowly, sometimes, but we answer.
